Membership

To be a member you must:

  • Reside or do business in Allen County
  • Keep contributions current
  • Assist the corporation achieve its mission

Membership Benefits

Members become an integral part of the economic development effort; are kept well informed with regular updates and newsletters; are involved in the business and social aspects of the organization; and help Allen County grow and prosper.

In addition, members will have a voice in the policy decisions regarding the private sector’s role in economic development, and will participate in the governance of the organization.

Cost of Membership

Members of Allen County Visionaries, Inc. recognize the benefits of a successful economic development effort to themselves, their company, and the region. They also recognize a responsibility to fund the regional efforts, and that there are differences between companies’ and individuals’ ability to honor this responsibility.

The cost for membership, therefore is differentiated based upon size and type of company. Despite the differences in membership cost, the rights and privileges of each member will be identical.

Organization

Allen County Visionaries, Inc. is managed by executive officers elected by the Board of Trustees. The company is directed by an 11 member Board of Trustees elected for staggered terms by the voting membership.

Tax Status

Allen County Visionaries, Inc. will engage only in activities which allow it to be considered as a non-profit corporation exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501 (C) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.

Contributions paid to ACVI may be an allowable business expense or deduction on the contributor’s Federal Income Tax Return.
